Traveling through Japan, one notices specific reoccurring shapes and symmetries mirrored in nature. Some are more obvious, like the traditional roof shapes (pictures 1,2,3), which resemble the country’s most famous mountain, Fuji-san, and others are hidden and must be found by the foreign visitor. While the Japanese prefer solid lines and square patterns over round ones, the curated gardens often feature soft and oval shapes, creating a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere (pictures 4,5,6).

Really enjoyed your photos 🙂 currently I’m planning a trip to Japan, hope to spend there enough to do a lot of cool photos and discover local cultures! PedroL

Thank you very much. Definitely do it! I would plan in 2 weeks at least, we had 10 days and it felt a bit too short. The cities are huge and the distances within them are bigger then an European is used to.

that´s true, that´s why I´m trying to stay there a few months… just the budget is kind of scary lol but I really want to stay there and discover more of this unique country! I´ve been in Tokyo and, just like you, 10 days weren´t enough to discover the city! cheers PedroL

But it isn’t as expensive as everyone is saying. Well it isn’t cheap for sure but I would compare the price level to let’s say Austria or Germany rather to let’s say Norway or Switzerland. Actually we never paid more than 25 euro for hostels. If you buy food in grocery stores the prices are also comparable (but not for fruit or certain vegetables that’s crazy expensive) Definitely take your time in Kyoto, we had two days and it wasn’t enough. I guess you need four days at least.

the thing I found more expensive was the hostels in Tokyo, but I went there in august and the city was, in general, pretty crowded, it was the high season 😉 thanks for the tips, now I will plan it in advance eheh 🙂 PedroL

Funny though that electronics from
Japanese companies are more expansive though like even USB sticks. Didn’t expect that 😀
