In 2015, I had the privilege of revisiting the Baltic states, marvelling at magnificent medieval towns like Tallinn, and enjoying the equally beautiful nature of these countries. A few impressions.
It wasn’t my first time there. But it is always a joy to be back in marvelous Estonia. Tallinn especially, is an insider’s tip. It is a medieval fairytale city with the Nordic charm and some great modern architecture thrown in the mix.
Tallinn is known for its medieval old town, a UNESCO world culture heritage site worth visiting. In this gallery, though, I would like to give you a glimpse of the modern Tallinn inspired by Scandinavia’s clear and sober architecture. I will begin with shots taken in the Rottermann District, a new part of Tallinn east of the Old Town close to the port.
