Perspectives on Mythen

Mythen is a distinct mountain range in central Switzerland. It consists of the large Mythen (1898 M.) and small Mythen (1811), and it is a popular destination for hikers and adventure seekers in the country. The views from the top are unique, and on clear days, you can see all of Vierwaldstätter Lake and the Swiss Alps in full glory. The climb requires some stamina but is doable. On the top, there is a small cafe and a cross, as is a tradition in the Alpine countries. But it is not all about the goal of reaching the top; on the way, you will have some fantastic views and worthwhile experiences with nature. Never forget, though, to greet other wanderers with a wholehearted “Grüetzi miteinand!”

Days at the Zurich Lake: Part I

Zurich Lake is situated in central Switzerland, close to the city of Zurich. It has a length of 40 km and a width of approximately 3 km. Although it is situated in an area that is densely populated, it is known to be very clean, and inhabitants like to use it for a swim or fishing. It is a critical natural habitat and the blue lung of the region Zurich.

Alien Structures

The architecture of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona is like anything else you have seen before. The structures, columns, and decoration seem like they are from another world altogether. Sure, there is some religious imagery reminding you of the fact that, after all, it is a place of worship rooted in the Christian tradition, but the Sagrada Familia is a uniquely built church that you cannot find anywhere else.

Church of Eternity

The church of Sagrada Família was envisioned by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí in the 1880s. The construction of the sacral building started in 1882 and continues up until today. It is funded solely by entrance fees paid by visitors from around the world. As with the construction of other grand cathedrals, it is not unusual that such an endeavour takes many centuries to complete. After all, it is a church built to last for eternity.
