Impressions from a journey trough the alpine country of Austria in October 2018.
When travelling Austria in October there is a certain mood setting over the country. The heat of summer is over and nature is beginning to prepare for a more harsh season of the year. Still the weather can be pretty nice with blue skies and a more milder, gentler sun. The leaves begin to fall and brown and yellow colours are laying over the landscape. Autumn is here and it is the perfect time for a walk in the hills.
The so called Trullis are roundhouses popular in certain parts of the region of Apuglia in Italy. They are build of stone and allow nice temperatures even in the heat of summer, similar to caves. They used to be houses for the poor but since the 20th Century they gained popularity and towns featuring them like Alberobello became magnets for visitors from around the world.
Deep down in a valley in the region of Apuglia in southern Italy lies Alberobello, a beautiful town distinguished by peculiar architecture and the shining white color of its buildings.
