Austria in Fall

When traveling to Austria in October, there is a particular mood setting over the country. The heat of summer is over, and nature is beginning to prepare for a more harsh season. Still, the weather can be lovely with blue skies and a milder, gentler sun. The leaves start to fall, and brown and yellow colors fall over the landscape. Autumn is here, and it is the perfect time for a walk in the hills.

Afternoon Project: London Pt. 3, Before Remembrance Day

As it turned out, the day I was in London on the 10th of November was the day before Remembrance Day, and Westminster was in complete preparations for the big event. Remembrance Day evolved out of the mourning for the death of World War I and became a kind of Veterans Day with many military parades and symbolism. Interestingly, the day before, there were a lot of veterans in White Hall, and I had the chance to photograph some of them.

Colors of Autumn in Vienna

This is one kind of “The Viennese Central Cemetery Part 2,5,” or the outtake. Two shots I really liked but which didn’t fit into. In the second picture, you see the fabulous Karl-Borromäus church in the center of the cemetery. Plus, another shot from Vienna’s streets captures autumn’s colors.
