Nature in Squares 2015

There is a unique quality to the early green of spring. The leaves seem brighter under the morning light, and the colors are fresher than in later months. Everything just seems alive and thriving after the prolonged hardships of winter.
Since 2014, I had the chance to visit Scotland many times. Recently, I had the opportunity to review the photography I shot there in 2014 and realized I had published just a few shots from this particular year. Still, there were exciting pictures left that I hadn’t uploaded yet. So before I post more recent photographs from Scotland from 2018, I wanted to go back in time and post more of these first formative impressions of Scotland. They are the reason I fell so much in love with this country.

Last summer I had the privilege to spend some weeks in Latvia again. The country is situated in the center of the Baltics in Northeastern Europe. The population is concentrated mainly in the capital, Riga, and in other larger cities, while the countryside still maintains a lot of charm and beauty which is already gone elsewhere in Europe. Some impressions.
