There is a special quality to the early green of spring. The leafs seem brighter under the morning light and the colours more fresh than in later months. Everything just seems alive and thriving after the long hardships of winter.
Since 2014 I had the chance to visit Scotland many times. Recently I had the chance to review the photography I shot there in 2014 and realised I had published just a few shots from this particular year, but there were interesting pictures left which I hadn’t uploaded yet. So before I post more recent photographies from Scotland from 2018 I wanted to go back in time and post more of these first formative impressions of Scotland. They are the reason I felt so much in love with this country.
Last summer I had the privilege to spend again some weeks in Latvia. The country situated in the center of the Baltics in Northeastern Europe. The population is concentrated mostly in the capital Riga and in other larger cities, while the countryside still maintained a lot of charm and beauty which is already gone elsewhere in Europe. Some impressions.
